FAQs

What kind of matters does Southside Immigration help with?

We help with all kinds of application for visas, leave to remain or British citizenship. Clients who we regularly help are people who would like to become a British citizen, people whose visa is going to expire in the future and people who would like to come to the UK from abroad. We also help people with a variety of complex issues who need help with an application to come to the UK or to remain here, as well as immigration appeals. If you’re not sure, just give us a call on 07561 171462 and we’d be pleased to have a chat about your needs.

Do you accept clients from abroad?

Yes! New clients regularly contact us from overseas for help with an application to come to the UK, and we’re pleased to help in this situation. We also take clients from all over the UK. There’s never a need to visit our offices in person, so we’re able to provide our service to all clients, regardless of where they live.

Is Southside Immigration Ltd a firm of solicitors?

We’re an IAA-accredited immigration company. This means that we’re not solicitors, but we are able to provide the same kind of legal advice and representation that you would expect from an immigration solicitor on almost all immigration matters. If you’re keen to know more about the difference between IAA advisers and solicitors, you can find some information here: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/immigration-advice-authority

Will you get in touch with me when the Home Office contacts you about my case?

Yes, and as soon as possible. It’s important to us to promptly pass on to clients any contact from the Home Office so that you can make a decision on how to respond.

Is Southside Immigration able to influence the Home Office to treat my application more favourably?

No. No lawyer has special access to the Home Office decision makers or any influence over their decision. Anyone who says that they do is breaking the law.

Will you tell me which application is best for me?

Sometimes it will be clear to us and to you which application is the right one. In other situations, there will be a choice of different applications. Where there’s a choice to be made, we’ll give you all of the information that you need – including fees, timescales and chances of success – to make the best decision for you.

Does Southside Immigration help with asylum matters?

Currently we do not help with asylum matters, but we can help you to find an asylum lawyer who will. Asylum claims are for those who have a fear of returning to their country of origin.

How are your fees so much lower than other lawyers?

We run a highly efficient service, and pass those savings on to our clients. One of our missions here at Southside Immigration is that high-quality legal advice and representation should be available to everyone, and we keep our fees as low as possible in order to make this happen.
